Barrier Free Showers

Quality Shower Solutions for Enhanced Mobility

According to the National Council for Aging Care, falls in adults aged 65+ are the leading cause of head injuries, broken hips and other fractures. More alarmingly, 80% of these falls happen in the bathroom!

Barrier free showers are a great solution to minimize this risk. Featuring a floor that is flush with the bathroom floor, barrier free showers eliminate all obstacles and trip hazards leading into the bathing area. They also maximize the useable space of both the shower and the area around it as the front side is completely open. This allows for easy access and ample room for wheelchairs, walkers and shower seats. It’s also extremely convenient for anyone needing assistance in the shower.

We also install a flexible rubber waterstopper across the entire open edge of the shower and provide a weighted shower curtain that falls behind it. We’ve installed numerous barrier free showers, with many products and materials, and know how to properly contain water.
